  • What are Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
  • Overview of Liberty Protection Safeguards

Aims of the Course

You will develop a better understanding of:

  • The Principles of the MCA and their importance
  • The two stage Assessment of Capacity
  • How to undertake a Mental Capacity Assessment
  • How to make a Best Interest Decision
  • Who DoLS applies to and when it should be used
  • What to expect when LPS comes in to force
