Closing date
The closing date is 15 January 2027.
Any application or change in preference submitted after the closing date will be marked as 'late'. Applications received before the closing date will be given priority over late applications.
When you will get a decision
You will get an email from Isle of Anglesey County Council to give you the decision on 16 April 2027.
If your child is offered a nursery place, please be aware that this does not automatically guarantee a place in the Reception class at the same school the following academic year. You will need to submit a separate application for a Reception (full-time education) place in accordance with Welsh Government regulations.
No guarantee
The completion of the application form does not guarantee admission to any school.
No right of appeal
There is no right of appeal if you are refused a part-time place in a nursery class.

Ysgol Santes Fair and Ysgol Caergeiliog
From September 2026, parents will apply through the local authority’s website for admission to these schools. However, they are their own admissions authority, therefore the admission to these schools is the responsibility of the school governors.

Parental responsibility
Everyone with parental responsibility for your child must agree to this application. If all persons with parental responsibility do not agree, or, you are unable to provide a copy of a legal document from a court confirming you have sole parental responsibility for your child’s education, then you cannot proceed.
