Isle of Anglesey County Council declared a climate emergency in September 2020 making a commitment to become a net zero carbon council.
In March 2022, the council adopted the 'Towards Net Zero Strategic Plan 2022 to 2025' which outlined our approach to reducing emissions and transforming the organisation.
Building on this progress, in January 2026 the council adopted the 'Towards Net Zero Strategic Plan 2026 to 2031'. This document sets out our key priority areas and actions to further decarbonise our services and activities.
Isle of Anglesey County Council adopted the 'Towards Net Sero Strategic Plan 2022 to 2025' in March 2022.
