The former Eastman Peboc Chemical Works (‘Peboc site’) is located Bryn Cefni Industrial Estate, Llangefni, and has been falling into disrepair since the site's closure in 2008.
Isle of Anglesey County Council has recently acquired the former Peboc site, with the aim of preparing the site for new commercial floorspace.
This will drive economic regeneration and local job creation, as well as maximising the site's potential - it is located within the Anglesey Freeport.
Works will include:
- decontamination
- site clearance and demolition of the existing structures
- creation of a new site access
Isle of Anglesey County Council officers secured funding through the Freeport Seed Capital funding and Ambition North Wales.
Work will start on the site during summer 2026, with estimated completion in spring 2028.
