Anglesey’s Track, Trace and Protect (TTP) Team remains vital to help protecting the Island’s residents against coronavirus.
As Welsh Government rules are relaxed it is important to remember that the virus has not gone away and we are still in the midst of a global pandemic.
Anglesey’s TTP team continues to offer support and advice to those who have tested positive for coronavirus and individuals who may have been in close contact with a positive case.
Important things to consider in relation to self-isolation:
- if you have tested positive for coronavirus, it’s vital that close contacts are identified as quickly as possible - regardless of the individual’s vaccination status. This will help protect and keep people safe and healthy
- self-isolation is required for all positive tests – regardless of vaccination status
- if an individual is displaying symptoms of coronavirus after being in contact with someone who has tested positive they must self-isolate and go for a PCR test. This is still the case even if they have been fully vaccinated
- Anglesey’s TTP team continues to encourage everyone who has been in contact with a positive case to go for a test on the 2nd and 8th day since contact.
Anglesey Council Leader, Councillor Llinos Medi, said, “During the last 16 months, Anglesey’s TTP Team has done a fantastic job to help support and protect people on Anglesey.”
She added, “We’re all pleased to see the rules being relaxed and things starting to return to the way they were. However, coronavirus is still a threat in our communities. I ask everyone to please answer the phone, engage with our TTP officers and listen to their advice. Their work will help keep you, your family, friends and community safe.”
