Please note: All of County Council sites and buildings, which are open, will require members of the public to wear a suitable face covering.

Council Leader, Councillor Llinos Medi, said, “We’re grateful to everyone who followed the Welsh Government guidance during the two-week firebreak lockdown period. Coronavirus levels remain high on the Island at present but we hope to see the benefits of the firebreak over the coming weeks.”

“Most of the services affected by the firebreak will reopen on Monday, November 9th, with a few others reopening later during the week. Reopening our leisure centres and libraries, in particular, is key to the well-being of residents.”

She added, “From next week, the Welsh Government will introduce new guidance to keep everyone safe. We have all been affected during this crisis and Coronavirus still remains a threat. I want to thank the people of Ynys Môn for their tremendous efforts and continuing to follow the all-important guidance will keep our families, friends and communities safe.”

From Monday, November 9th, the Welsh Government will be asking people to:

  • stay out of each other’s homes, except in very limited circumstances
  • limit the times you leave your home, and the distance you travel
  • when you do leave home, please try and be restrained in how many different people you see. It is better to see the same one or two people regularly than to see lots of different people occasionally
  • maintain social distancing, including outdoors
  • meet people outdoors rather than indoors where possible, even in circumstances where the law allows you to meet indoors
  • work from home if you can
  • wash your hands regularly and follow other advice on hygiene
  • self-isolate if you show symptoms of coronavirus
