An exciting opportunity to run the Oriel Môn café

Oriel Môn are looking for a company or individual with excellent catering experience to run its busy cafe in Llangefni.

On 31 March 2027, Oriel Môn will be saying goodbye to Caffi Bach y Bocs – successfully run by business partners, Ian Williams and Caron Ynyr - since early 2023.

This provides an exciting new business opportunity at the popular museum and gallery. Oriel Môn will be looking for a new business to run the café, and this will be advertised through “Sell2Wales” during the next few weeks.

If you are interested in taking up this venture, please contact Oriel Môn Senior Manager, Kelly Parry, for an informal discussion on 01248 724 444 or by email oriel@anglesey.gov.wales

Kelly explained, “It has been a pleasure working with Ian and Caron for almost four years now. Their passion for quality and excellent customer service helped rejuvenate our café. Their staff and catering provision have been exceptional, and we’ll be sad to see them go at the end of their agreement period. We’d like to wish Ian and Caron all the best for the future.”

She added, “This is an excellent opportunity to run a café situated in a museum and art gallery that attracts over 100,000 visitors a year. The special space that we have available, coupled with the high-quality foods and producers that are on offer locally, offers great potential. I look forward to seeing who will be creating a new menu for our visitors.”

The Oriel Môn café has over 50 covers indoors and another 30 outdoors (weather permitting) and is open Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year, from 10am until 5pm.

Ian and Caron said, “After nearly four happy years at Oriel Môn, we’ve decided to focus on other projects and will not be reapplying for the café lease at the end of our term.”

“We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved at Caffi Bach Y Bocs and would like to thank Cyngor Sir Ynys Môn, our fantastic team and, most importantly, our wonderful customers - many of whom have become dear friends along the way.”

“It’s business as usual until 31 March, and we look forward to continuing to welcome you through our doors.”

They added, “Thank you for your support, kindness and friendship over the years. It’s been a pleasure to be part of Oriel Môn, and we’ll always look back on this chapter with great fondness.”

Ends 21 October 2026
