Anglesey’s vision
Anglesey’s vision is for all pupils who go through the island’s education system to be fully bilingual by the age of 16, and to be confident in communicating equally in both languages in the workplace and in cultural and social contexts.
Benefits of Welsh-medium education
You do not have to be a Welsh speaker for your child to benefit from a Welsh-medium education.
Sending your child to a Welsh-medium school can give your child extra opportunities, experiences and skills, whichever language you speak at home.
Choosing a Welsh-medium education allows your child to develop bilingual skills, both creatively and academically.
There are wider benefits to a bilingual education too that improve a child’s cognitive abilities, and these benefits last a lifetime.
