Primary school menu


A two-course menu is available in primary schools. The main meal includes a hot main meal of the day, a vegetarian option, jacket potatoes and toppings, and homemade pasta and tomato sauce are also available. 

Week commencing:

All main meals are served with two vegetables and freshly baked bread.

Baked potatoes served daily with a choice of toppings

Available every day: water, fresh fruit, salad and yogurt

Monday

Option 1: cheese and tomato pizza served with potato wedges

Option 2: tortilla toastie served with potato wedges

Option 3: tomato pasta - fresh, homemade tomato sauce with pasta and bread

Dessert: shortcake

Tuesday

Option 1: BBQ chicken served with wholegrain rice

Option 2
: macaroni cheese

Option 3: tomato pasta -fresh, homemade tomato sauce with pasta and bread

Dessert: chocolate brownie served with fruit

Wednesday

Option 1: roast pork served with roast potatoes and gravy

Option 2: butternut squash and tomato bake served with garlic and herb bread

Option 3: tomato pasta -fresh, homemade tomato sauce with pasta and bread

Dessert: pineapple upside down cake served with custard

Thursday

Option 1: classic beef burger served with potato wedges

Option 2: quorn burger served with potato wedges

Option 3: tomato pasta -fresh, homemade tomato sauce with pasta and bread

Dessert: ginger biscuit served with fruit

Friday

Option 1: battered pollock served with chips or wedges

Option 2: veggie fingers served with chips or wedges

Option 3: tomato pasta - fresh, homemade tomato sauce with pasta and bread

Dessert: strawberry ice cream served with fruit

Option 1: roast chicken served with roast potatoes and gravy 

Option 2: sweet potato and chickpea and herb roast served with roast potatoes and gravy

Dessert: flapjack with fruit  

Thursday

Option 1:  beef bolognese served with wholewheat pasta  

Option 2: Tex Mex vegetable fajita wrap served with wholegrain rice  

Option 3: tomato pasta-fresh, homemade tomato with penne pasta

Dessert: jam and coconut sponge   

Friday

Option 1: fish fingers served with chips or wedges  

Option 2: cheesy bean tortilla toastie served with chips or wedges    

Option 3: tomato pasta fresh, homemade tomato with penne pasta

Dessert: chocolate ice cream with fruit

Dessert: lemon cookie served with fruit wedges

Thursday

Option 1: chicken tikka masala served with wholegrain rice

Option 2: butternut squash and tomato bake served with garlic and herb bread

Dessert: apple cake served with custard 

Friday

Option 1: battered pollock served with chips or wedges

Option 2: quorn dippers served with chips or wedges

Dessert: vanilla ice cream
