Phase 1: estimated 3 weeks
- All swimming pool changing rooms closed.
- Customers should use the dry‑side changing rooms and arrive swim‑ready (wear your swimwear under your clothes and bring flip‑flops to help minimise time spent in the changing rooms).
Phase 2: estimated 2 to 3 weeks
- Male and disabled changing room closed.
- Female changing room open.
- Male customers should continue to use the dry‑side changing rooms and arrive swim‑ready (wear your swimwear under your clothes and bring flip‑flops to help minimise time spent in the changing rooms).

Holyhead had a traditional 25m pool and a small teaching pool for parents with toddlers. We offer a range of swimming lessons and activities, read on to find out more.
Swimming times can be subject to last-minute changes. Please check current public swimming times with reception.

Prices and facilities
Members and non-members can attend public swim sessions.
There is no age limit.
The main pool and small pool will be available unless otherwise noted. There will be access to the whole pool with no moving restrictions between the pools.
We encourage you to swim widths rather than lengths.
Small pool
Members and non-members can attend the public swim, small pool sessions.
There is no age limit to this session.
There will be no access to the main pool during this session.
Members and non-members can access lane swimming.
Ropes are used to split the pool into lanes and you can choose from the fast, medium or slow pace lanes, depending on what is most comfortable for you.
Children and young people over the age of 8 can currently attend our lane swimming sessions.
Benefits of swimming
Swimming for 30 minutes is the same as 45 minutes of activity on land.
Steady swimming for 30 minutes can burn 200 to 300 calories.
