You can pay your Council Tax in a number of ways:
- Direct Debit
- Post Office
- By post
Direct Debit is the simplest and safest way to pay because:
- you remain in control
- you have a money back guarantee
- it’s paid monthly and your bank or building society does the rest
- you can forget queues, cheques, stamps
- it’s a lot safer than paying with cash
- it’s cheaper and simpler for the council to administer, which benefits everyone in our community
If you have a query, you have time to check anything you don’t understand or agree with, and under the rules of the Direct Debit guarantee any payment which breaks the terms of your instruction will be refunded immediately to your account. Set up a Direct Debit - the link opens a new tab.
