Antisocial behaviour includes:

  • abusive or noisy neighbours
  • littering
  • graffiti
  • hate crime

It can leave you feeling intimidated, angry and frightened. It can have a negative effect on the quality of life in a community.

Recognise antisocial behaviour

Antisocial behaviour can include things that break the law and things that do not.

It can be:

  • acting in a threatening way, like being drunk and hanging around in public places
  • using drugs, and the mess or trouble that comes with it
  • vandalising things, writing graffiti, dumping rubbish, or dropping litter
  • neighbours making lots of noise, like playing loud music or letting a dog bark all night
