The Welsh Church Act Fund is an independent charitable trust.
The Welsh Church Act Fund was established from the proceeds and assets of the disestablishment of the Church of England within Wales. These assets were distributed evenly amongst the former county councils in Wales and then divided between the Welsh unitary authorities when they were formed in 1996.
Isle of Anglesey County Council has set up a trust to manage the fund in Anglesey. A council committe called 'The Executive' acts as the sole trustee.
