Isle of Anglesey County Council has a Welfare Rights Team based at the J E O’Toole Centre, Holyhead which provides advice, support, and representation on a range of welfare benefit issues.

Other agencies may be able to help you.

The Welfare Rights Service at the J.E. O’Toole Centre provides free, independent and confidential advice and representation on benefits, tax credits and employment law for people living in the county.

Welfare Rights Advice is available by appointment at the J. E. O’Toole Centre Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

We also hold weekly advice outreach surgeries by appointment only at:

  • Llangefni in the Main Council offices Tuesdays 9:30am to 5pm
  • Amlwch in Maes William Williams Thursdays 9:30am to 5pm

Telephone appointments can also be arranged for advice and home visits for advice and assistance with claim forms can be arranged (subject to availability) for those with disabilities or ill health who are unable to travel to the centre or one of our outreaches.

An adviser is available by appointment to attend your community events or group meetings to give talks and information on current benefits.
