Isle of Anglesey County Council

Heating fuel support scheme

Background

The UK government has given money to Wales to help people on low incomes who are struggling with high energy costs caused by the conflict in the Middle East.

Welsh Government has decided how the money will be used. Each household that gets help through the Council Tax Reduction Scheme and uses heating oil or LPG will receive £200.

How to apply

Isle of Anglesey County Council will send you a letter inviting you to apply, if you get Council Tax reduction and are likely to use heating oil or LPG.

To get the payment, you will need to:

  • confirm the type of heating you use (a heating oil or LPG bill dated within the last 12 months)
  • give your bank details so the money can be paid directly to you (a copy of your bank statement dated within the last 6 months)

You can also apply over the telephone on 01248 750 057.

Closing date

This scheme will close on 30 September.

How you can use the money

The payment will be given as cash (paid into a bank account) where possible, so people can choose how to use it.

Eligible households can choose which bank account the money is paid into.WG_positive_40mm jpg - logo
