Community Cohesion Fund 2026 to 2027


About the North West Wales Community Cohesion Fund 

The North West Wales Community Cohesion Fund is a small grants scheme for third sector organisations. It supports projects that strengthen community cohesion and help address local tensions.

Grants of between £500 and £5,000 are available for activities that promote inclusion and bring communities together.

We welcome applications for events, activities, or materials that encourage community cohesion in Gwynedd, Anglesey and Conwy.

The fund is administered by the North West Wales Community Cohesion Team.

Please note:

  • Groups may submit one application only
  • Organisations are encouraged to collaborate and submit joint applications

Completed application forms should be sent to the email address above by  no later than 27 May 2026.

Eligibility criteria

To apply, your organisation must:

  • Be a constituted and established voluntary organisation or community group
  • Have a bank or building society account in the organisation’s name, or
    work with a host organisation that can receive funds on your behalf

 Payments will not be made to individuals, and applications from individuals will not be accepted.

Application objectives

Projects must contribute to one or more of the following:

  • Promoting campaigns
  • Challenging myths
  • Creating safe spaces
  • Sharing positive messages
  • Celebrating diversity

Applications should also align with relevant Welsh Government legislation and policies, including:

  • Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act
  • The Socio-economic Duty
  • Nation of Sanctuary
  • Cymraeg 2050
  • The Anti-racist Wales Action Plan
  • The LGBTQ+ Action Plan
