My Anglesey Account: Frequently asked questions


Isle of Anglesey County Council has launched the new ‘My Anglesey Account’ platform which has replaced the old ‘My Account’ platform. 

If you have any other questions that have not been covered, please use the feedback form on this page. We may use your feedback to add clarification. 

All feedback is anonymous. You will not be asked for any personal details.

The new ‘My Anglesey Account’ provides a user-friendly platform for allowing residents to submit and manage requests.

We are always working to ensure that we are complying with the latest accessibility laws and best practice guidance, with the council's digital systems.

You can give feedback to us after submitting a form in My Anglesey Account. If you experience any difficulties using our forms, please let us know.

We have worked hard to make sure that the new My Anglesey Account will allow you to do everything that you were able to do before.

Many of the online forms will be available for you to use as a ‘Guest’ user, without the need to create an account.

If you have an account with our current platform, My Account, we will not transfer your account into the new 'My Anglesey Account' platform. It is a different system.

Why create an account?

We would encourage you to register for the new 'My Anglesey Account'. With an account, you can:

  • save time when filling in a form, as your contact details will automatically be populated from your account details
  • track the progress of any requests you have sent into us through the platform
  • provide any extra further information we might require directly through My Anglesey Account
  • see your next bin collection dates on the home page of your account

We will send an email to all currently registered users with instructions on how to re-register.

The username will need to be your email address.

You will be able to use your current password to register for the new My Anglesey Account, if your current password meets the password requirements.

The password requirements will be explained when registering.

We, as a council, will not be transferring your personal details from the existing My Account to the new My Anglesey Account.

We will be sending out an email to customers who have an existing account inviting them to register on the new platform.

This email will also give step-by-step instructions on how to register.

How to save your service requests

You may wish to save your existing service requests.

You do not have to do this, but you will not be able to access those records after 31 May 2023.

Your existing data will be accessible until 31 May 2023. This will allow us time to process any outstanding requests on the old system.

After this date, you will no longer have access to your service requests and personal data on the old ‘My Account’ platform.

The data stored on this platform will be deleted on 31 July 2023.

You may wish to save your existing service requests

You do not have to do this, but you will not be able to access those records after 31 May 2023.

Your existing data will be accessible until 31 May 2023. This will allow us time to process any outstanding requests on the old system.

After this date, you will no longer have access to your service requests and personal data on the old ‘My Account’ platform.

The new platform will be available to use on any modern web browser and it is ‘responsive’.

This means that it will adapt to the screen size of the device you are using.

Your data is held in the platform’s primary data centre, which is hosted by an industry leading hosting provider which the authority have ensured meet our stringent technical standards.

Isle of Anglesey County Council are committed to information security and understand that the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data is vital, especially as the impact level of the information increases.

Isle of Anglesey County Council staff have been trained on the importance of data security and how to prevent data misuse. Your data and personal information will be secure on the new My Anglesey Account platform.

There are forms within the My Anglesey Account platform that will allow you to notify services of an update to your address (such as Council Tax).

The contact details used when registering for your ‘My Anglesey Account’ will not update other council systems.
