This consultation ended 31 January 2022

Original consultation

The Welsh Government's national strategy 'Cymraeg 2050: A million Welsh speakers' was published in August 2017 with the ambition of reaching a million Welsh speakers by 2050.

Isle of Anglesey County Council has a statutory duty to develop and publish a Welsh in Education Strategic Plan (WESP) which sets out its vision to target seven ministerial priorities (outcomes). This plan explains how we will develop and increase the number of Welsh speakers across the whole education sector.

What is your role?

Anglesey's WESP Steering Group and relevant stakeholders, have held meetings through outcome sub-panels in order to develop a draft Welsh in Education Strategic Plan 2022 to 2032.
