Isle of Anglesey County Council

Community review of electoral arrangements: draft proposals consultation

Consultation on draft proposals 1 October to 26 November 2026

Following the initial consultation, which ran from 26 January to 13 March 2026, we are inviting comments on the draft proposals for town and community council electoral arrangements.

The draft proposals have been developed using feedback received during the initial consultation, together with further research and analysis.

We would like your views on:

  • changes to electoral wards outlined in the consultation document
  • ward names
  • community names

We will contact statutory consultees directly, including town and community councils. Anyone with an interest in the review, including Anglesey residents, can submit comments.

Welsh language

In line with the Welsh Language Standards, we welcome views on the potential impact of the draft proposals on the Welsh language.

We would like to know:

  • whether the proposals will have a positive or negative effect on opportunities to use Welsh
  • whether the proposals ensure Welsh is treated no less favourably than English
  • how the proposals could be improved to have a more positive impact on the Welsh language
  • how any negative impacts on the Welsh language could be reduced or avoided
