Cyngor Sir Ynys Môn - Isle of Anglesey County Council

Public speaking at Scrutiny Committees

Isle of Anglesey County Council has a protocol for Public Speaking at Scrutiny Committees.

Under this protocol, members of the public may apply to speak at meetings of Scrutiny Committees where matters of interest to them are to be discussed. Participants must do this as soon as possible and at least 3 clear working days before the date of the Committee.

One person is allowed to speak on behalf of each group or body where each group or body has something different to say in relation to an item being considered by a Scrutiny Committee.

Individuals who are experts in a particular field, or who hold a view that is not represented by a group or body, can also register their interest to speak at the meeting.

Those wishing to speak at Committee meetings should register their interest to do so as soon as possible by confirming their names and who they represent, if applicable - please use the registration form below.

Individuals should not wait for the Committee papers to be published before registering, in order to avoid a situation where they miss the deadline to register and/or where other individuals have already registered to speak.

Individuals are encouraged to review the Scrutiny Committee Forward Work Programme which identifies the matters to be discussed at future meetings.
