An introduction to the Social Care Workforce Development Partnership


The Social Care Workforce Development Partnership’s aim is to maintain the quality of Social Care provision within the Isle of Anglesey through a planned approach towards Learning and Development.

Training and development opportunities are open to the whole Social Care sector for example: volunteers, direct payment recipients, individuals with caring responsibilities (Adults and young carers), social care workers and individuals who receive care and support.

A regional and local workforce plans are in place which identify and secures implementation of measures to ensure a sufficiently large, skilled, safe and focused workforce to promote the well-being of people with care and support needs. This includes (but is not exhaustive to):

  • Registration
  • Career pathways
  • Competency and qualifications
  • Upskilling individuals in compliance with codes of professional practice within the sector
  • Supporting recruitment and retention
