Skip permit

To place a skip on the highway in Anglesey, you will need to apply to a skip company that is already registered with Isle of Anglesey County Council.

Please contact one of the skip companies below.  They will make an application on your behalf.

Register as a skip operator

If you are a skip company that is not registered with Isle of Anglesey County Council then you must register before you can apply to place a skip on the highway.

Permission may be given subject to conditions which may relate to the following:

  • siting and location of the skip
  • traffic and parking restrictions
  • skip dimensions
  • making skips visible to traffic
  • care and disposal of skip contents
  • signing lighting and guarding of skips
  • skip removal

A tacit agreement is an agreement that is implied or assumed without being actually stated.

It does not apply to the issuing of a skip permit by Isle of Anglesey County Council.

We would always advise that in the event of a complaint the first contact is made with the trader by you - preferably in the form a letter (with proof of delivery).

If that has not worked, Citizens Advice will give you advice.
