Register as a scaffolding operator

If you are a scaffolding company that is not registered with Isle of Anglesey County Council then you must register before you can apply to place scaffolding on the highway.

Permission may be given subject to conditions which may relate to the following:

  • siting and location of the scaffolding
  • traffic and parking restrictions
  • scaffold dimensions
  • making scaffolding visible to traffic
  • care and disposal of scaffold contents
  • signing lighting and guarding of scaffolding
  • scaffold removal

A tacit agreement is an agreement that is implied or assumed without being actually stated.

It does not apply to the issuing of a scaffolding permit by Isle of Anglesey County Council.

Please contact the Highway Service in the first instance.

Please contact the Highway Service in the first instance.

We would always advise that in the event of a complaint the first contact is made with the trader by you - preferably in the form a letter (with proof of delivery).

If that has not worked, Citizens Advice will give you advice.
