Isle of Anglesey County Council

Local land searches

Planning system

Isle of Anglesey County Council is in the process of upgrading the system that manages planning, building regulations and land charges. This is an essential upgrade to modernise and improve our service.

The systems will be down for a significant period, between 11 May and 26 May 2026.

Planning applications will still be available to view through the online General Public Register or MapMôn.

During this period, it will be possible to submit planning applications through:

Delays processing planning applications and consultations

Unfortunately, there will be delays processing official searches, planning applications, enforcement complaints and consultations during the period.

There may also be a delay publishing a consultation on planning applications. The statutory period for making comments will not be shortened as a result.

Isle of Anglesey County Council apologises for any inconvenience during this period.

We can provide search information for anyone who would like to buy property or land in the local authority Area.

The search is a series of standard questions designed to give any potential buyer as much information as possible about the property.

It is usually a solicitor or a licensed conveyancer who applies to carry out a search.

Type of search

There are 3 different types of searches:

LLC1 Form

The LLC1 form will reveal any information listed in the Local Land Charges Register. It will note if there are any outstanding charges, as well as details of any tree preservation orders, renovation grants, conservation issues, listed buildings etc.

Con29 Form

A Con29 search is a questionnaire about the land / property sent out to various departments within the Council.

Part 1 contains answers to a series of standard questions about the property or land, revealing details of any local plans for the area, building regulations, planning decisions, road proposals and so on.

Part 2 gives answers to any additional questions asked, for example public paths, completion orders and so on.

Personal searches

Anyone can make a personal search. Please note however that this is a search of the local land charges register only, and does not include the majority of the information outlined in the LLC1 and CON29.

If you want to carry out a personal search, please contact us for further information.

Please see the contact details listed on this page.
