The Local Tenant Participation Strategy (LTPS) is supported each year by an Action Plan which is developed to support the six key objectives of the LTPS and in line with the Housing Revenue Account business plan.
The Action Plan details work that is planned in terms of tenant participation.
The LTPS and Action Plan is monitored quarterly by the Môn Tenants and Officers Voice (MTOV) which is a focus group made up of tenants and housing officers. Their role is to:
- monitor and evaluate the progress of the LTPS and
- agree the priorities for tenant participation activities and the allocation of resource to “ensure value for money and continuous improvement”
To monitor the strategy the group look at the quarterly Action Plan progress reports developed by the Tenant Participation Officer; this includes discussing good practice and suggesting improvements.
The group also support the flexibility of the action plan by agreeing priorities for tenant participation activities according to the changing needs of the business.
The progress of the strategy is monitored once a year at the Housing Scrutiny committee; the Tenant Participation Officer forward a report using the information within the quarterly reports and within the MTOV minutes.
