In response to the coronavirus pandemic, the WeCare Wales campaign has launched a new jobs portal. This is to help social care employers advertise their vacancies and to help potential employees find a short-term role in care. This could also give people the experience to build a new career in care in the long-term.

We’d like to encourage you to share your job vacancies on Twitter using the hashtag #WeCareWalesJobs. These job adverts will then appear on the WeCare Wales Jobs webpage. If you don’t have a Twitter account, please send details of vacancies through direct messages on the campaign Facebook page, or email contact@wecare.wales

This is a card that identifies social care workers and confirms they are key workers in fighting the current pandemic. It is very important that all frontline workers receive these cards.

An e-mail will have gone out to all professionally regulated social care workers on Social Care Wales register 15th April, introducing the card and providing them with instructions on how to download it onto their smartphone. The plastic cards will be posted to the registered workers when they are ready.

All managers on Social Care Wales’ Register will be asked to distribute the same information to members of their teams who need the card but are currently not registered with Social Care Wales.
