As the leader of the authority’s democratic services, the post holder’s principal role is to undertake the statutory role of Head of Democracy in accordance with the Local Government (Wales) Measure 2011.
In executing this role, the head of democracy will lead and manage the effective administration of the council’s democratic services, to include the delivery of committee services, scrutiny, translation, member support, electoral services and policy functions.
We wish to appoint an experienced leader who understands the unique position of Anglesey as a county and who will be able to work with our elected members, the leadership team, our staff as well as key stakeholders.
We are looking for a high quality individual to join us, who holds public service values and is passionate about excellence in service delivery.
