The council encourages requests for work experience placements from local schools, colleges and indeed any others that may be received.

In order to begin the application for a work experience placement, please send a completed work experience application form (on this page as a download) to workexperience@anglesey.gov.wales or the address below. The application form will then be passed on to the relevant service for consideration.

If the application relates to an individual under the age of 16, the relevant officer within the requested service will be required to complete a Risk Assessment form. This form will is then sent to the applicant’s parent or guardian to be signed before the placement begins.

Application process

Please complete the application form provided below, ensuring that all sections have been fully completed before submission.

In some instances, services may not be able to accommodate applications; make sure that all three placement choices are completed to avoid disappointment.

Please forward the completed application form together with any other supporting documents and send to workexperience@anglesey.gov.wales

For children under the age of 16, a risk assessment form will be completed by the department and a signature will be required by the students’ parents or guardian. A copy of the risk assessment form can be found below.

Applicants can expect to be notified by email once the work experience application form has been received by the Work Experience HR Officer. Applicants will receive notification by letter to advise them whether their application has been successful or not.

We will aim to notify the applicant on the success of their application within the 8 processing weeks. As the work experience placement scheme is at times very popular, please wait up to 8 weeks before phoning for updates on the process.
